Welcome to the LifeLifters Community! We hope that you will find our gatherings to be safe and comfortable, fun and relaxing, informative and encouraging - and even more. We trust that you will find that at LifeLifters Community, hope is always the final word. Through great music, laughter and lots of practical instruction, we seek to help people grab hold of spiritual handles that can give them a lift. Services are on Saturday evenings at 5:30. LifeLifters Statement of Purpose, Vision, and Mission Purpose LifeLifters seeks to be a catalyst for change by providing down-to-earth, relevant and Biblically based resources that lift the spirit and help light the way. LifeLifters is all about connecting . . . connecting with God and connecting with each other. Connecting hurting people with someone who can help. Connecting someone who is going through it with someone who has been there. Because we know what it is like to need a lift, we exist to build supportive relationships with people who need one, too. While we may not be a church in the conventional sense, when needed, we can help point you to one. We are not professional counselors, but we can help you find the support you need. We are not physicians either, but a lot of healing happens when we get together. We are just believers who needed healing, strugglers who needed mercy, and seekers who found some very good reasons to keep seeking. Simply put, we are people who needed a lift, and who never want to forget what that felt like. LifeLifters are just like the people we hope to reach. We are people who have known brokenness and even despair. People, who as the Bible put it, have been redeemed from the pit. And thats okay, because we are convinced that the most attractive way to present Christ is to display Him through broken vessels. Vision Believing that the chasm between the Church and our culture is growing both deeper and wider . . . Believing also that the Church is Gods chosen instrument for discipling those who follow Christ, and that her message, the gospel of Christ, is the only true hope in a world teeming with hopelessness . . . Believing likewise that our culture has grown increasingly detached from and distrustful of the Church, yet is nonetheless admittedly lost, often confused and in great need of a helpful redirection . . . We, the people of LifeLifters, a small humble segment of Christs Church universal, seek to serve the church by functioning as a helpful bridge between these two separate, but mutually dependent entities. Were not a church in the conventional sense, but we will lift up the name of Jesus. We will attempt, by every means possible, to help the hurting, support the struggling and serve the seekingdirecting each one toward a real and lasting connection with Christ. And then, having bridged the great divide, we will diligently work to connect the people we reach to a church where they can grow in Christ and Christ likeness. We will lovingly offer Christs mercy...compassionately assisting and supporting the hurting, the struggling and the seeking as they make their journey of faith. And though were not healers, with Gods help, a lot of healing will happen when we get together. LifeLifters are people. People who needed a lift themselves, and who found it in a most amazing and wonderful way. And because we know what its like to need a lift and to receive a liftwe are passionately dedicated to helping lift up: Believers who need healing, Strugglers who need mercy, And seekers who need a good reason to keep seeking.
